Positive pay is a service employed to protect companies against check and ACH fraud.

By matching the checks a company issues with those presented for payment. Any check considered to be potentially fraudulent is sent back to the issuer for examination. 

ACH positive pay utilizes rule-based approval for each ACH transaction.
